Thanks to the support of the community, and the vision and direction of Qatar’s leadership, Qatar’s national strategy to combat COVID-19 has successfully limited the impact of the virus on the nation. This joint working of government and community since the start of 2020 has enabled many aspects of normal life to continue throughout the pandemic and resulted in Qatar having one of the lowest COVID-19 mortality rates in the world.

Yet despite the successes of our strategy to date, COVID-19 continues to remain a threat to people’s health, both here in Qatar and internationally. For this reason, it is essential that we each continue to play our part in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. This website provides more details about how you can do this, including how to protect yourself and others, and how our national COVID-19 program has been central to controlling the virus in Qatar.

Ministry of Public Health today announces 1754 confirmed new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), with 1467 people having recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of people recovered in the State of Qatar to 40,935. The Ministry also announces that 4 people had died from the virus in the last 24 hours

Over the last 24 hours, 18 patients had been admitted to intensive care due to the virus, bringing the total number of patients currently in intensive care to 238 cases.
